Dear Political Coordinators,
Some issues for the remainder of the week:
1. No meetings are scheduled for tomorrow in the Security Council but that does not preclude activity. In the morning we will have the Special Event at the Council of the Americas (with the IPA) to which all of your Ambassadors have been invited. I am sure there will be a good discussion and I promise to give you an update after the meeting. In the afternoon, the Arria Formula on Afghanistan will take place as informed by Singapore.
2. UNMIBH/UNMOP/Somalia Thursday December 12 in the morning, we intend to call for informal consultations to consider the presidential statements on UNMIBH, UNMOP and Somalia. The first two would be adopted during the respective open meetings scheduled for that morning, and the later could be adopted immediately after.
3. Timor L'Este At the end of the morning consultations of Friday December 13 and under AOB, the Secretariat will provide an update on the situation on Timor L'Este.
